About NCI

Government of Haryana provided the 300 acres of land located at Badsha Village , Jhajjar , Haryana to AIIMS, New Delhi for expanding its facilities in the region in 2012.   National Cancer Institute will be independent India’s largest Government Funded Hospital Project and will provide leadership role in advising about the best possible cancer treatment protocols and research. NCI will be modelled after the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of USA.    NCI will be built in 32 acres of land and the total cost for establishment will be approx. Rs 2035 crores.    NCI will have 710 beds out of which 200 beds will be dedicated for Translational Research in India specific cancers. This institute will provide employment opportunities to 2705  best brains in the country including 265 Faculty, 327 Residents and 2113 other staff comprising of nurses, para-medical staff, etc.    NCI will be having 372 units of flats and 1080 hostel rooms for the staff members. For the patient attendants, a night shelter having a capacity of 800 units is also being planned.    NCI will have equipments with advanced and latest technology to learn more about cancer. Research will also be conducted in other RCCs/cancer centres with the assistance of NCI. Thus, it will become a unique facility of its kind in this country wherein, the research and the clinical facility will be housed in the same campus. 

  The knowledge gained from the research will facilitate in effective implementation of the cancer care programs and in improving the quality of cancer care services and ultimately quality of life of the cancer patients. The cancer research facilities planned in the proposed Institute will be of immense value to improve the comprehensive care of the country.

                                                              RESEARCH
   NCI will be the nodal Institution for all activities related to cancer in the country and will have the linkages with all Regional Cancer Centres and other cancer centres/institution within the country. NCI had signed MoU’s for collaboration in cancer research with NCI – USA, DBT and ICPO.
   It will evolve model cancer control programmes for the developing world and new therapies. The NCI will explore in addition to allopathic system, alternative therapies from medicine system historically available in India. It will act as apex center resources in cancer.
  It will undertake clinical trials of newer drugs as well as vaccines to treat and improve the existing outcomes of therapy on survival and quality of life of the cancer patients.
  It will carry out translational research and incorporate newly developed techniques in cancer therapy into clinical practice
  It will set standards for cancer treatment and to evolve, update and disseminate evidence based guidelines to promote uniform patient care across the country.
  NCI will facilitate the development of affordable medicines and equipment.

राजधानी दिल्ली में बुधवार को कोरोना वायरस के नए आंकड़ों ने अभी तक के सारे रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिए हैं. स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक दिल्ली में एक दिन में संक्रमण के 7,486 नए मामले सामने आए जबकि इस महामारी के कारण 131 मरीजों की मौत हो गई. एक दिन में कोविड-19 से मरने वालों की यह अब तक की सबसे बड़ी संख्या है. इसके साथ ही दिल्ली में कोरोना के कुल मामले 5 लाख के आंकड़े को पार कर गए और मृतकों की संख्या 7,943 हो गई. दिल्ली में संक्रमित होने की दर 12.03 प्रतिशत है, जबकि रिकवरी रेट 89 फीसदी है. वर्तमान में यहां कोरोना के 42,458 मरीज हैं जिनका इलाज चल रहा है. बुलेटिन के अनुसार संक्रमण के कुल मामले बढ़कर 5,03,084 हो गए हैं. दिल्ली में 11 नवंबर को सबसे ज्यादा 8593 COVID-19 मामले दर्ज हुए थे जब 85 मरीजों की मौत हुई थी. अब एक दिन में सबसे ज्यादा 131 मौतें दर्ज की गई हैं जो कि एक रिकॉर्ड है. दिल्ली में मंगलवार को सक्रिय मामलों का आंकड़ा 42,004 था जो एक दिन में बढ़कर 42,458 हो गया. इस बीच, दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को कहा कि कोविड​​-19 मामलों में वृद्धि को देखते हुए ...
